Release : The Global Dilemma: Guns or Butter from Mindscape
Cracker : Bad Brains
Supplier : Trump Jr.

This is my first crack and Trump Jr's first supply job under our new group,
Public Enemy. Glad to be aboard! Despite what many people (i.e. THG) are
saying, PE is not a flash in the pan, and we're not on any streak of luck;
we're determined to continually supply the PC pirate world with great new
cracked software, and now that we've got a powerful combination of suppliers,
we'll be able to meet that goal.

Guns or Butter looks pretty nice, it's a Balance of Power-style simulation
where you control industries and beat up on opposing forces within the bounds
of a ficticious continent (the game generates continents based on a "seed"
word that you type in at the start of the game). It looks pretty Macintoshy
and has decent graphics on a VGA.

The crack was pretty easy, all things considered. I figured it might be sort
of tricky as the game runs under a GEM-style shell called Metawindows, but
as it turned out, the doc check code was pretty straightforward. After the
player cycled through all four phases of his turn for the first time, a doc
check dialog box would pop up. It still pops up, but is now disabled and
you can just hit <ENTER> to get past it.

Look for a set of docs soon from your friends at PE. Call our dist sites!

Dirty laundry department:

The final bit of communication between Bad Brains and R Bubba of THG --

Nice to see that you're living in a dream world.

It was obvious that you and Fab Furlough didn't want me in THG (or any
other cracker for that matter; you guys turned down Lord Blix as well)
since you wanted all the cracks for yourselves, but I was willing to put
up with your shit in order to suck away some of your new wares. TMNT made
a tasty release -- sure it was a 5 minute crack, but so are 80% of the
games released nowadays for the PC.

However, you should know that your "friends" in THG were pretty displeased
with your reactions to me; in fact, when I announced that I was leaving
because I didn't want to be the target of your whining flak, I was told
that if I agreed to stay in that you'd be booted and that THG didn't feel
it needed members who behaved as you did.

As for you and Fab Furlough testing my cracks before they were released,
that's BULLSHIT. When I cracked TMNT, I released it and you guys had
nothing to do with it (in fact, you didn't even know about it), and I had
no intention of ever clearing anything I did with either of you. Perhaps
you should spend more time worrying about your own releases (boy, that
trainer for Altered Beast sure was a doozie, and I recall bailing you
  guys out on Dragon Strike).

I joined PE because a) they asked nicely and b) they promised me a
consistent supply of new stuff. I hadn't planned on joining another group
after the ream-job I received from you guys, but things change.

BTW, how can anyone be "unequivocally WRONG" on "pretty much every" topic?

See ya,
-=Bad Brains=-

Greets to all who are cool: PE guys, Malignant Growth, Rescue Raider, Bhubha,
Rifleman, Slavelord, NYC, Jenetic Bytemare, Ras,
                            The Byter, etc.
