 Dear Sirs,

I think your ConvertR program is a great idea. How many times I have
found myself in the position wanting to convert quantities and having to resort
to some table and do the calculations myself. This program is neat, the only
problem I'm having is that it interferes with Wordstar 5.0 and Qdos II.

I've tried loading it before and after the two mentioned programs are
loaded but to no avail. If I am in Wordstar writing a document and call up
ConvertR it pops right up. When I exit it and try to continue on my document
my computer is locked up. I have to press the reset button to get things back
 to normal.

     I am using a Tandy 1000 TX, 640 K of memory, a 49.1 meg. hardcard, with
two floppy drives, one for 3 and 1 /2 and the other for 5 and 1/4 floppies.

I have tried reasigning the key using the debug command but still it locks
 up my computer with Wordstar.

When I call up Qdos II and try to exit I get computer garbage on the exit
screen. I'm able to exit but don't like what I see. So far it has not locked
up my computer with Qdos II.

Would appreciate any comments you have on how I can correct this situation
if possible. I sure want to use the program.

^1> Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about the problem you mention.
^1>Certain programs, Wordstar 5.0 is one of them, are notorious for being
^1>incompatible with many memory-resident programs. I am not that familiar with
^1>Qdos II, but a member of our technical support staff indicated to me that this
^1>is the case with this program as well. Memory-resident programs represent an
^1>attempt to make the PC perform in a manner it was not designed for. In most
^1>cases you can get away with this attempt, but every so often you run into this
 ^1>type of problem.

 Dear Big Blue Disk,

This issue is not really loaded with programs and information, but I have
been enjoying a few of the programs. You were right in your analysis that the
adventure game Moraff's Revenge is very well done. Also, the BlackJack game
is great. I also enjoy the Print Shop images. In fact I will be ordering at
least one of the volumes of Print Shop Graphics which you have now.

PC-Cypher would be a useful program, if I had a hard disk. I may buy one
sometime, but in the immediate future my plans are to buy a modem and then a
color monitor. As for the Periodic Chart, it looks like a well written
program, but I do not have any use for it.

Thanks for changing the Marketplace Ads a little. They were a refreshing
 change to read this time.

I have some specific questions regarding the Moraff's Revenge Program.
Is there any way to delete the past characters? I am especially interested in
getting rid of some of the characters which are no longer active.

I had one slight problem occur with Moraff's Revenge. When I finished a
session with a total experience points of 105897, the program did not save
the correct total. When I started it again, my scores were less. Is there
something that I did which caused me to loose the points? I have noticed that
if I try to go down too far into the dungeon without enough health points or
enough experiance, it proves fatal. During one of my high scoring games, I
became trapped too far down and could not get back out. My character was
resurrected, but I no longer had experience or health points. It seemed
impossible to gain any of the lost points back no matter what I did. My
character ended being destroyed. Is it possible to gain enough health and
strength again in order to play the game successfully?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

^1> Steve Moraff, the author of Moraff's Revenge, did not provide a means of
^1>deleting a character. I hate to say this, but until the character is killed
^1>you are stuck with him. I will need more information about the problem you
^1>report with the incorrect value of experience points being saved. Had you
^1>returned to the first level or just quit the game while still in the dungeon?
^1>Once you lose a character and it has been resurrected, you are essentially
^1>forced to start over again. It is just a matter of keeping that character
^1>alive long enough to regain your health and strength points. However, you
^1>always run the risk of losing him again any time you venture into the dungeon.
