Fielding - Keyboard

Throwing to a base.
Hold down the base key you want to throw to
and press Enter/Fire Button.                        

Pick-Offs
Hold down base key and quickly press and   
release Enter/Fire Button. You must pick           
your pitch before you can try a pick-off.               
                                                           
Fielding the ball.
After a ball is hit, a yellow circle appears by            
the feet of the player nearest the ball.  Use the          
chart at the right to move the highlighted                 
player.  If he is close to the ball, pressing              
Enter will cause him to dive or jump.  If the               
ball passes him and another player is closer,              
press Enter to switch player control.

 Notes:
     Keyboard 2 Equivalent Keys:          If you don't have a keypad you may

Running from Windows 3.0
You can run HardBall III from Windows 3.0 as long as you have enough free
RAM available (see Memory Requirements). If you need to free up some
memory, you should read the chapter on Optimizing Windows in your
Windows manual.

Note : The Al Michaels Play-by-Play Announcer Feature is NOT available under 
Windows.
Except under 3.1 with the Proper Sound Card Driver Installed.                                                       
                                              
Adding the Icon to Windows Program Manager
HardBall III comes with its own icon for the Windows Program Manager. 
You can use this icon to run the game, but not until you install the game to  -
your hard disk.                                                                 @
To Install the icon
 1  Go to the Windows Program Manager.                               
 2  Open the group window for the group into which you'd like to        
    put the game.                                                       
 3 Choose NEW from the File Menu. The New Program Object Dialog
   box appears.
 4  Select Program item and choose OK. The Program Item Properties
    dialog box appears.
 5  Type HardBall III in the Description text box.
 6  Type the path and name of the hardball.PIF file in the Command Line
    text box.  For example, if you installed the game to
    C:\hardball, then type c:\hardball\hardball.pif into the Command
    Line text box.
 7  Choose Change Icon. The Select Icon dialog box appears.
 8  Type the path and name of the hardball.ico file in the File Name text
    box.  For example, if you installed the game into C:\hardball,
    then type c:\hardball\hardball@.Ico into the File Name text box.
