All terms and names used herein are mine and will probably not match
those used by others and in published books.

MOVES:

          (KING) - MOVE 1 LEFT, RIGHT, FORWARD, OR BACKWARD, CANNOT
               MOVE OUTSIDE OF THE KING'S COURT.

          (GUARD) - MOVE 1 HORIZONTALLY WITHIN KING'S COURT ONLY.

          (BISHOP) - MOVE 2 FORWARD AND THEN 2 SIDEWAYS, CANNOT
               CROSS THE RIVER. E.G.,

          (ROOK) - MOVE SIMILAR TO WESTERN CHESS, STRAIGHT FORWARD,
               BACKWARD, SIDEWAYS, CANNOT JUMP OVER OTHER PIECES.

          (CANNON) - MOVES LIKE A ROOK, BUT DIFFERENT IN TAKING
               OPPONENT PIECES.  CAN CROSS RIVER.  TO TAKE AN
               OPPONENT PIECE, THERE MUST BE ANOTHER PIECE IN
               BETWEEN THE CANNON AND THE OPPONENT PIECE.  E.G.,

               BEFORE CROSSING RIVER, MOVE 1 STRAIGHT AHEAD      
                    ONLY.
               AFTER CROSSING RIVER, MOVE 1 AHEAD OR SIDEWAYS
                    ONLY.
               AFTER REACHING THE END LINE, CAN ONLY MOVE
                    SIDEWAYS.
               A PAWN CAN NEVER MOVE BACKWARD.

OTHER RULES AND COMMENTS:

     THE KINGS CAN NEVER FACE EACH OTHER, I.E., THERE MUST ALWAYS
     BE ANOTHER PIECE IN BETWEEN THE TWO KINGS.  THIS RULE IS
     USEFUL TOWARD THE END OF A GAME TO LIMIT THE OPPONENT KING'S
     MOVEMENT.  E.G.,
