The Game
========

(The following is from the original game's inlay card with an edit or two)

"This is the adventure of MINER WILLY retold. This time the truth is out.
Strange things did happen to Willy when he explored his huge mansion.
This time no expense has been spared in allowing you to recreate the magical
escapade of Willy on his travels. All you need is stamina and guts to overcome
the seemingly impossible odds."

In other words...

Maria has gone on strike again as Willy has had another colossal party and left
the place in an even bigger mess than the last time. Although, he'll be danged
if he can remember it. After cleaning up the mansion one time already, all that's on
Willy's mind is sticking his head in the toilet, that huge centipede thing
that he thinks he saw in the attic or the alien spacecraft he saw up on the roof.
Or was that a dream? Anyway, Willy set off to clean up the huge mansion once again
but being so tired he ended up toppling down the stairs. Whilst recovering in hospital,
Willy called in the builders to take off all the sharp edges on the stairway. They did
far more than this... Willy thought it odd that they had green skin, but needed the
work done quickly, so thought no more about it. The NASA guide to easy Space travel
is recommended for playing this game!

And if that went over your head...

Same as the original Jet Set Willy, but more of it...

Instructions
============

Willy has had another colossal party and (yes) Maria has gone on strike
again. He cannot get to bed until he collects all the glasses for a
second time... But here he has no time limit, unlike JSW1.

This time round, however, Willy's mansion is "bigger and better". If you
are lucky, you too will visit "The Final Frontier" and see the rather odd
sight of Willy in a space suit.

JSW 2 has more than 130 rooms, which fill out the gaps in the original map,
brand new locations, a real deserted isle, 175 objects (don't panic - you only
need to collect 150 of them!) and no Attic Bug. Although the centipede is still
there <g>.

To find out why Willy needs a Space suit, you'd better take a look at "The Watch Tower",
and there's a surprise new ending too!

When you've collected 150 items, Maria should be more than pleased, so go
back to the Master Bedroom and you'll have completed the game! Easy, huh?
Well, if the original Jet Set Willy wasn't hard enough, this time Willy's
mansion is "bigger and better". If you are lucky, you too will visit "The
Final Frontier" and see the rather odd sight of Willy in a space suit (and
maybe Maria will get in on the fun too. Hint, hint... <g>).

IN GAME
Q E T U O = Left
W R Y I P = Right
Z X C V B N M SPACE = Jump
ESACAPE = Quit game

To climb the rope: Left - climbs up, Right - climbs down.

Sound
=====

There shouldn't be a problem but...
If you encounter any problems Use the Sound Setup to alter settings for sound card
etc. and then save it out. I find it works better if you just go to the sound setup
and click on save and exit straight away.

Remaking JSW 2
==============

What we have here is a game that was released in 1984 (or 85. The dispute rages on...)
coloured up and detailed with 256 um, colours, enhanced sound, faster gameplay, the
"alternative" C64 screens and a heck of a lot of hidden stuff. That's it! If you've
played it before you should recognice it a mile away, if not, you're in for a treat!

Hang on! Isn't Jet Set Willy II emulated?! Damn, we've just waisted our time... No we
haven't. This is (hopefully) the best version of JSW 2 you're ever going to play...

Well, Dan will tell you how much fun it was I'm sure <g>. The whole thing was written
in DIV and took about three months... I think. Anyway, the first version used the C64
idea of the wider playing field. But it was too slow so that was scrapped... But we
wanted to keep the alternative C64 in there... so they are. Why was this made anyway?
Because it's fun and as said countless times in the FAQ, we wanted to do a definitive
version of one of our all time favorite games. If you think it's dated, get lost and
go elsewhere...

As strange as it may sound, I don't think he's actually completed JSW 2. I know I haven't.
I can't get past "The Bathroom" <g>! But it's all here (we promise). If you want to know more,
check out the FAQ! That is all...

No, wait. If you think there is anything that you would like to see included
in the next version of JSW 2, e mail us at EMAILADDY. All comments, positive
and / or negative are welcome also. We wanna make this the thing the best
version there is and if you think that at the moment it isn't, please, let
us know what we can include!

Don't e mail us asking about the cheat or the hidden stuff or whatever. If
you find them, well done. Go and tell your friends instead <g>.
