Getting Started - Music and sound are disabled
as default incase someone who doesn't have a sound
blaster tried to run the program. To enable sound and
music you will have to run setup.exe. Just tell the
setup that you have a sound blaster and then you can run
TF Tetris with sound and music, if you don't have a
sound blaster you don't need to run the setup at all.
Please note, that you should never run t.exe
unless you have manually loaded the MIDI drivers. If you
don't manually load the MIDI dirvers you have to run
tetris.bat, which loads and unloads the MIDI drivers
automatically. If you try to manually load the drivers
SBMIDI should be loaded first and SBSIM second, SBSIM
should be unloaded first and SBMIDI second. For more
details on drivers see info.txt.

Object of the Game - This is basically a tetris
clone. If you have never played tetris let me explain, a
random shape will appear at the top of the screen, each
shape is composed of a combination of four blocks. There
are seven shapes total. These shapes will fall down to
the bottom of the screen at a certain speed depending on
what level you are on. Everytime a horizontal line is
formed from the left of the screen to the right, then
that line will disappear and all the blocks above it
will move down one space. You pass a level after a
certain amount of lines have been cleared. If your
blocks fill up to the top of the screen your game ends.
If you pass level 10 you beat the game.

Scoring - My scoring system may be quite a bit
different than the scoring of tetris, since I sort of
just made it up. If you have See Next on then you get 3
points for every shape that lands plus half of whatever
the level is. If See Next is off you get 5 points for
every block that lands plus whatever the level is. If
you clear one line you get 10 points, if you clear two
lines you get 22 points, if you clear three lines you
get 47 points, if you clear four lines you get 98
points. If you finish level 10 you get a bonus of 1000
points.

Controls - All the controls in this game can be
changed by the user. To change the controls click on the
options button from the main screen and then click on
the controls button. To change the key for a certain
control simply click on the button of the control you
want to change and then press the button you want for
it. It should be able to detect almost any key except
all the LOCK buttons and maybe some others. You can also
set the delays of the first four controls. The other two
don't use delays. The delays are measured in frames. For
example, if you are holding down a certain key and the
delay is two, then once it does the action for the key,
it won't do anything for the next two frames, then it
will do the action again on the third frame. The best
way to understand what I am saying is to mess around
with it yourself and see what happens. The default
controls are:

	Rotate: Up
	Drop: Down
	Move Left: Left
	Move Right: Right
	Pause: P
	Restart Music: M

Sound and Music - To change sound and music
settings click on the options button from the main menu
and then click on either the sound or music button. You
can turn sound on or off, that is the only options for
sound. If you can't turn sound on then the program
detected that you don't have a compatible sound blaster
or else you didn't run the setup to enable sound and
music. The same goes for turning music on or off. In the
music section you can also change the song you want it
to play. There are five songs to choose from, or you can
have it play random songs. When random is on it will
choose a new random song everytime the current song is
playing, if you press the restart music button it will
also choose a new song.

General Options - The See Next option will
enable or disable the little window that displays the
next block which will come next during game play. This
option will also affect the way the scoring is done. The
fade option will enable or disable the fade effect that
occurs when you clear a line.

New Game - When you start a new game you get to
choose which level you would like to start at. You can
start on any of the levels (0 - 10).

Scores - There are two places where scores are
recorded, the Hall of Fame, and the Hall of Shame. The
Hall of Fame holds the top 10 highest scores anyone has
gotten. The Hall of Shame holds the top 10 lowest scores
anyone has gotten. The Hall of Fame and Hall of Shame
also show the name of the person, the level they started
at, and the level they ended at. If they beat level 10
it will have an asterisk for the end level (*). If you
qualify for the Hall of Fame/Shame and your score is the
same as someone already there, that person will be moved
down, or moved out of the Hall of Fame/Shame if he is in
positition 10. If you qualify for the Hall of Fame and
the Hall of Shame, you will be put in the Hall of Fame
but not the Hall of Shame.

Known Bugs - When you are asked for your name
when you achieve a score for the Hall fo Fame or Hall of
Shame, the key detection interupt is temporarily
disabled. If you were holding down a key just before it
was disabled, it will think you are still holding down
that key when it is enabled again. To stop that just
press that key again and it will detect the key release.
You will just have to deal with this until I find a way
around it. The sound effects also glitch a little from
time to time on my computer. I guess it is because I am
using DMAPlay 1.0. If you find any other bugs, glitches,
flaws or any sort of problem please report it to me,
thanks.
