Dear Gamer,

The BOOTME utility located in this BOOTME directory is meant to let you
create a "boot disk" that will let you boot up your computer with "cleaner"
CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files, so that fewer programs take up memory
in your computer. BOOTME ensures that when you turn on your computer with
the boot disk already inserted in the A: drive, the only drivers loaded into
your computer's memory are the ones required for the operation of your
sound card, mouse, and CD-ROM drive.

If you just can't get your system to run Redneck Deer Huntin', you should try
to run BootMe to create a boot disk, and try the "DOS Protected Mode Games"
option when booting off that disk. Instructions for BootMe follow.

===========================================================================

To run BootMe in DOS:
Type the following commands. If D: is not your CD-ROM drive letter,
substitute the correct letter.

        D:
        CD \BOOTME
        BOOTME

Follow the onscreen instructions, and BootMe will create a new configuration
on your A: disk. If BootMe encounters any errors with your system, you will
be given instructions on how to correct any problems. When the program is
finished, reboot your system with the disk in your drive to use your new
configuration.

To run BootMe in Windows95:
Click on 'start', and then on 'run'. At the command prompt type your CD-ROM
drive letter and "Bootme". (i.e. if your CD drive letter is D:, you would
type D:\BOOTME <hit enter>
Follow the onscreen instructions, and BootMe will create a new configuration
on your A: disk. If BootMe encounters any errors with your system, you will
be given instructions on how to correct any problems. When the program is
finished, you must shutdown and restart your computer with the disk in the
drive to use your new configuration.

After you have made your boot disk and restart your computer, you will be
given four options:

Boot without Expanded Memory
Boot with Expanded Memory
Boot system without Memory Management
DOS Protected Mode Games

Choose the "DOS Protected Mode Games" option for Redneck Deer Huntin'. If the
game still won't work, you may want to try "Boot system without Memory
Management" to see if something is conflicting. Although this may not be
necessary, it is available if needed.
