installed on the Quake directory. You can use Dark Hour,
or manually copy the files.

Running Dark Hour

Select Run from the Start Menu. Type "c:\darkhour\darkhour.exe",
where "c:\darkhour" is the drive and directory where Darkhour is
and press return.

The rectangular brown boxes with text inside are
buttons. Simply click on them to perform the
action stated.

A logo will be played or displayed, then the main
screen shows up. Here you can go to the Briefing
Room and read the Dark Hour mission brief. You can
go to the Install Levels screen or the Run Levels
screen. You can also view a list of Quake web sites
in the Web, Editors screen. The Help and About
screens show help and information about Dark Hour,
respectively.

The Install Levels screen shows the following
information for each level selected: the level
title, the directory in the CD-ROM where it is
stored, the author of the level (if any) and a
description.

You can either manually copy the files from the
directory listed to the \quake\id1\maps directory,
or click on the '>' button to have Dark Hour do it
for you. '>>' will install ALL levels.

Once you have copied the files you want, return to
the main screen and click the Run Levels button.
Select the level you want to play or installed, then
click the run button to run Quake with the
selected level in Single Player mode.

To uninstall a level, go back to the Install Levels,
select the level in the Installed Levels list and
click '<' to uninstall it. '<<' will uninstall ALL
levels.

You can click on the help button at any time if you
are having problems with Dark Hour.

How to Use the Quake Levels
---------------------------

(Note: Quake must be installed first otherwise you won't be
able to install or run Dark Hour levels)

A. Loading Dark Hour levels using Run Levels screen.

   1. Click on a level (from the list).

   2. Once it is selected, then you can start the level in
either single player, coop, or deathmatch mode by
pressing any of the three large buttons on the right.

B. Loading levels using console commands (for advanced users)

   1. Single Player Mode:

     a) You are playing a level and you want to change to

     b) Now, you have access to the console. To load another
