Note: the SETUP command for choosing sound drivers requires that
 FILES=30 (or better) be in your CONFIG.SYS file.

This update includes the following:
 A general update for most sound cards and drivers.
 Officer notches are now saved to disk at the end of battles and campaigns.
 Saved games now restore side names, random damage options, and Advanced ship
  options correctly. (newly saved games only for side names)
 Computer now defaults to "ENEMY" as side name until user enters a new name.
 Campaign menu Save, Continue, and Abort mouse click areas corrected.
 Slight correction to Culture menu.
 Several other slight changes.

Insert diskette into drive.
Switch to drive (i.e. B:)
Type INSTALL and hit return.

After installing game, run SETUP to configure sound drivers, and create
 VGA files if needed.  Use SETUP whenever you change sound cards, etc.

Runs in SVGA 640 by 480 by 256 color mode (VESA_101). If your video card
is not recognized by the program, load your video card's VESA driver and
try running Grandest Fleet again.

To run the program in VGA mode (640 by 480 by 16 color mode), use V on the
 startup line. (i.e. GFLEET V).

Start game with GFLEET.
Use S or M after GFLEET on command line to disable Sound or Music to save memory.

Start up line toggles available:
M  to not load music drivers. (saves 40K conventional memory)
S  to not load digitized sound drivers. (saves 29K conventional memory)
P  to not protect sound during palette animation (looks better, but might
    cause problems on some cards...)
X  to bypass the yes-no question when exiting the program.
C  to bypass the cover screens at start up.
V  for VGA mode.
W  Used only in VGA mode. Slows down display, but saves 500K expanded memory.
B  to not load big ship pictures. (saves 260K expanded memory)
A  to turn off all palette animation.
D  to use direct calls for palette changes. (use if problems with palette animation)
R  to turn on retrace checking. (use if problems with palette animation)
7  allows only maps up to 70 hexes in width to be used. (saves 25K conventional memory)
6  max map witdth 60 hexes. (saves 50K total conventional memory)
5  max map witdth 50 hexes. (saves 75K total conventional memory)
