This is the third update file for ODM INDEXER (also
published as ODM Librarian), a full-featured software
database program that included a back issue listing of On
Disk Monthly software. This is the third update to the
original back issue file (published on ODM #64). The first
update (containing the contents of issues #65-#68) appeared
on issue #68, and the second update (containing the contents
of issues #69-#73) appeared on issue #73.

This ODM INDEXER update file (ODMISSU4.BID) contains
the contents for issues #74-#77. Merge it into your original
file to update your back issue catalog "on disk."

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR COPY OF ODM INDEXER (or ODM LIBRARIAN)

STEP 1 - Run ODM Indexer.
STEP 2 - Choose "Load a catalog."
STEP 3 - Highlight your main file (ODMISSUE.BID). If this
file is not located in the subdirectory with your
program you may need to press TAB to edit the
          "Path" information that is shown.
STEP 4 - Press ENTER to load this file. A thermometer will
illustrate this process. When the thermometer
disappears and the main screen is visible,
"ODMISSUE.BID" has loaded into your computer's
          memory.
STEP 5 - Choose "Merge a catalog."
STEP 6 - Press TAB to edit the "Path" (it will highlight
          and a cursor will appear).
STEP 7 - Type "A:\" or "B:\"--whichever floppy drive
contains your ODM #77 disk. If you've copied your
issue onto your hard drive, type in the drive and
subdirectory where those files are located. Then
          press ENTER.
STEP 8 - Highlight the file "ODMISSU4.BID". If this file
does not appear on your screen, you typed in the
wrong drive and/or subdirectory. Try again.
STEP 9 - Press ENTER to merge this update file into your
currently loaded "ODMISSUE.BID" file. Again, a
thermometer marks your progress. When the merge
has taken place, the computer will tell you how
many records were merged. In this case, the number
          should be 19.
STEP 10 - Choose "About this catalog."
STEP 11 - Change the issue number from #73 to #77 and press
F4 to save the change. If your catalog does not
contain 487 entries, you may have failed to merge
the previous update files into your catalog. Those
files were published on issue #68 and #73. You may
contact our Customer Service department at
1-800-831-2694 to order the ODM Indexer program
and updates. Call the same number for technical
support if you have problems merging this file.
