Hello and welcome to the Dragon's Domain One Year Anniversary Edition.
This archive includes the entire Dragon's Domain tetrology, as well as
this fancy menu program.

But I would like to take this time to offer a few of my own opinions, and
general info about the games.

Many people have said to me that the game is lacking in graphics and plot.
I always end up answering them the same way, "It was on purpose!" The game
is designed to be nostalgic for those who played the Atari game called
ADVENTURE, but with slightly better graphics. Besides, the tetrology was
a learning experience for me, I developed new and faster graphics with each
release. Additionally I wanted to prove that a Game doesn't need great
graphics to be Fun.

Dragon's Domain 5 was going to have fully bitmapped and scrolling
backgrounds. But I found it difficult to keep it running smoothly on slower
computers, and the game also lost the "feel" of the others, so I decided not
to complete it (the programming was mostly done, but not the maps or
characters). But if you would like to see the kind of graphics I developed
for it (and out of the others), get a copy of "Cell Quest" which can be
downloaded from my BBS, the Sorcerer''s Quarters (410-290-3752).

Personally, Dragon's Domain 2 is my favorite of the four, simply because
to me it seemed to be the most balanced, and the most gratifying to win.

This anniversary edition package includes a new game I quikly whipped up
(6 hours of work total) called Drahkarin. It may surprise you. Give it a try.
It is a dragon card game for up to 4 players, human (dragon) or computer
controlled.

If you would like to see more Dragon's Domain games produced, or
have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me on my BBS, or write
to me at the address listed in the documentation for the individual games.

The EXE files for these games have been renamed in this release. If you
don't have enough memory to run them from this menu, you can run them from
DOS as 1.EXE through 4.EXE.

Good luck, enjoy the games, and SAVE OFTEN! Words to the wise. Have fun!
