^C^1Video Pro Titler

Home movies have been popular for years. Families may film their vacation
adventures, or teenagers try their directing skills out producing amateur
cinematic productions. The future Stephen Spielbergs and George Lucases of the
world are probably right now experimenting with homemade video productions.

In the old days, filming would take place using 8mm film cameras, producing
silent movies that had to be sent to be developed. If editing was needed, that
had to be done by physically splicing the film. As for titles and credits,
about the only way to do that was to write them on paper and hold them up to the
camera.

Now, things are much easier for those attempting to emulate Hollywood at
home. Video camcorders are widely available which can tape picture and sound
onto standard VHS or Beta videocassettes. Then, use your VCR to perform
editing; two VCR's hooked together let you move scenes back and forth as you
please, and many VCR's will also let you dub in stereo sound from a hi-fi to
give your productions a professional soundtrack.

But you're still stuck when it comes to adding titles. Even the most
sophisticated VCR's and camcorders still make you hold up a paper sheet if you
want to put up text.

That's what Video Pro Titler is for. It will let you generate titles you can
record using a VCR. Many fonts and effects are supported, to professionalize
your productions.

Video Pro Titler is menu-driven, but it has a wide range of features. To
understand how to use it, we suggest you first print out the documentation,
which is contained in the file PRINT.ME. (From the DOS command line, type:
^1COPY PRINT.ME PRN^0.)

NOTE: To use Video Pro Titler for its intended purpose, you must have a
display adapter with a composite video output jack that can send output to the
Video In jack of a VCR. Generally, EGA cards don't have such an option. In
addition, many EGA models are not fully compatible with the CGA, and hence this
program might not work on an EGA system. See the manual for specific notes
about which features might or might not work with an EGA.

To run this program outside the BIG BLUE DISK menu, type ^1PT^0.
