INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
======================
STEP 1
To create the diskette needed for STEP 2, first have an empty
formatted 3.5 inch diskette or a 5.25 inch 1.2MB diskette in
either A: or B:. This update is not available for 360K 5.25
inch floppy diskettes. Then, run the batch file CREATE.BAT
using the following parameters:

          CREATE x:

Where x: is a floppy disk drive.

STEP 2
The disk created in STEP 1 will only install on a PC where DR DOS
6.0 is already present and running.

To install onto a fixed disk machine, you should insert the
diskette into a floppy drive. Change to the floppy drive and
type:

         UPDATE <target drive> <target sub-directory>

For example, UPDATE C: DRDOS will update the files in the DRDOS
sub-directory on drive C:.

Once the installation is complete you will be asked to reboot
your system. Do this by pressing the CTRL-ALT-DEL keys together.

To install onto a dual floppy machine you must insert the update
disk into drive B: and type:

          B:
          UPDATE A:

UPDATE will then prompt for each disk as it is required. Once the
update is complete you will be asked to reboot your system. Do
this by putting the boot disk in drive A: and pressing the
CTRL-ALT-DEL keys.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
IF YOUR C: DRIVE IS COMPRESSED: COMMAND.COM on the UNCOMPRESSED
drive currently does not get updated. You will have to manually
copy it over. The uncompressed drive is the one that C: is
mounted as and then swapped with at boot up.

At the C:\> prompt

 Type: COPY COMMAND.COM x:\COMMAND.COM
             Press <ENTER>

Replace the x: with the appropriate drive letter.

WARNINGS:
ALWAYS backup your system before implementing any program/utility
changes to the operating system.
