  [1] ABOUT THIS VERSION :


  Minimum Requirements: A 486 DX2 with 8Mb of memory, Super-VGA display,
                        double speed CD drive and a sound card.

  Recommended Configuration: Pentium with 8Mb of memory, Super-VGA display,
                             double speed CD drive and a sound card,
                             mouse, joystick.

  It is highly recommended that you install a disk caching utility
  (SmartDrive, for instance) with at least 0.5MB caching buffer.

  There are three options for hard disk installation:
   [1] Minimum - 14MB 
   [2] Partial - 40MB
   [3] Full    - 48MB (Quickest loading times)

  To install run INSTALL.BAT from the CD.

  The following screen modes are available:
   [1] Hi Res & HiColor (32k/64k colors).
   [2] Hi Res 256 colors.

  If you encounter problems with the HiRes or HiColor versions, try running
  UVCONFIG. It configures the display driver for certain types of display 
  cards.

        SPACEBAR          Fire phasers
        RIGHT SHIFT       Switch between Single Phaser (high fire rate) or 
                                         Double phaser (low fire rate).

        ALT               Locks on enemy (pilot mode only),
                             successive presses will lock on next enemy seen.

        LEFT CTRL         Fire missile

        NOTE: The left led indicates communication status:
                Green   - In range
                Orange  - Losing contact
                Red     - Out of range
              The right led indicates beam range.

  [3] TROUBLE SHOOTING :

  PROBLEM  : Static noise while sound is being played.
  SOLUTION : If you are using a 16 bit sound card your high DMA channel
             may be the cause. Try choosing SOUND BLASTER in the setup
             program with a low DMA channel (0-3).

  PROBLEM  : Problem when trying to run in HiRes or HiColor modes.
  SOLUTION : Try running UVCONFIG.EXE before loading the game. 

  PROBLEM  : Game aborts unexpectedly while loading.
  SOLUTION : Free some more memory (maybe decrease SmartDrv cache area).

