If you operate a Worldgroup version 1.00 or 1.01 system, these instructions
are for you. These steps are necessary because we took great pains to remove
files from the base client disk distribution, making it possible for system
operators of Worldgroup 2.00 systems to cut the number of disks necessary to
distribute client software - while retaining backward compatibility. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

HOW TO INSTALL THESE FILES:

All of the files within the distribution .ZIP file, except this README.TXT
file, must be placed in the GCSVCMAN directory under your system default
directory, usually C:\WGSERV\GCSVCMAN. Overwrite any existing GCSVCMAN.LST
file with the one provided here.

WHY YOU NEED TO INSTALL THESE FILES:

Worldgroup 2.0 client software is not distributed with all of the files which
were distributed with the Worldgroup 1.0 client. This can be a problem:
applications may be set up on your system which assume that certain files are
already possessed by the client. Since this is no longer guaranteed to be the
case, this small update will enable your system to give the version 2.0
clients the files they may need to run applications on your system.

When the Worldgroup 1.0 client software is upgraded to 2.0, it is flagged as
not needing to download these additional files - since they were already part
of the 1.0 which had been there before.

When Worldgroup 2.0 client software is installed on a system without upgrading
an existing 1.0 client installation, the client will not allow itself to fully
log on to a 1.0 system until it gets these files. At this point, the client
is then also flagged as not needing to download these additional files.

Then a client installation may call any Worldgroup 1.0x server, even one that
has not installed these files.
