^^^
Configuration FileName (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
The configuration FileName is the file that this information is stored
in. Generally, the default name will be all you need, but if you want
to change this name, feel free to edit it as you desire.

^^^
TradeWars Config FileName (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)

This is the CFG file for tradewars. Unless you've specifically
modified the game files, DO NOT change this value.

^^^
Path to BBS (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This is the path to your MBBS directory. ie: 'C:\BBSV6\'. Unless you
have your BBS located in another directory, this will be what you want
to use as the default value.

^^^
Path to Tradewars Data (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This is the directory for your Tradewars Data Files.
ie: 'C:\BBSV6\HVSTWDAT\'. Unless you've modified the game files or
subdirectories, this default is what you need to use.

^^^
Sector DataBase FileName (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This is the filename for you TradeWars Sector DataFile.
ie: 'HVSTWSEC.D8A'. Do not modify this file unless you've specifically
 changed it.

^^^
Planet DataBase FileName (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This is the filename for your TradeWars Planet DataFile.
ie: 'HVSTWPLN.DAT' Do not modify this file unless you've specifically
 changed it.

^^^
Tradewars User LogFile (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This is the user's log, usually 'HVSTWUSR.LOG'. Do not change this file
 unless you've specifically changed it.

^^^
Tradewars Sysop Log File (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This is the file that the sysop can use to check the settings Action Pak
creates each day. This will help you edit the settings of the values
you've got currently programmed. This file will contain the values of
all the settings you've turned on, such as location of wormhole, black
hole, # of turns, photons, etc.

^^^
Number Of Sectors In Game (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This is the number of sectors in the game. Normally, in a full game,
this value would be 5,000, and in a tournament, you might set it to
1,000. Just be sure you set the same value here as you do in the game.

                    NOTE: THIS MUST MATCH EXACTLY.

^^^
Wanderer Planet NOTE: THIS OPTION IS NOT YET ENABLED!
This option enables/disables the Wanderer planet. The wanderer is a self
maintaining planet loaded with freebies. It will be recreated every day
in a new location. Players can land on it, take everything, even blow it
up. They can't really capture it, except for one day, as at cleanup, it
is restocked, and relocated randomly to another sector.

^^^
Black Hole (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option will create one sector with no exit links and anyone who ends
up in this sector will have to wait for cleanup to leave. It will restore
it's previous mapping, and a new black hole will be created somewhere
else in the universe. NOTE: If a player does a scan of this sector they
will see the sector listed twice, as it links to itself. This is not a
bug, and is an intended response. The idea is to warn players there is
something not right, yet if a player just warps into it without looking,
 there will be no warning.

^^^
Black Hole Data File (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This file maintains data on where Action Pak locates the Blackhole.
There should be no reason to change this value. It is editable for
 other future configurations.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE STARTING A NEW GAME, YOU MUST DELETE THIS FILE!

^^^
Worm Hole (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
The wormhole is a sector, that you select, that will randomly create exit
paths that are one-way warps out to new locations each day at cleanup.
The potential of having a wormhole path leading into someone's back door
is probable as the game progresses. This rather complex feature will
create an entirely new set of problems for players to confront EACH day,
and players not logging on daily, and often, may find their own property
taken by competing players. Note: READ THE DOCS ON THIS ONE IF YOU ARE
 CONFUSED!

^^^
WormHole Location (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This is the sector that the wormhole will use each day. It is
configurable anywhere in the universe, but to prevent a player from
'claiming' it as their own, it is suggested you choose sector 10 or
 below.

^^^
Colonist Regen Randomizer (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option will control the rate of colonists regenerating on Terra.
You can set both the high and low limits in the next two options, and
then at cleanup, the randomizer will select new values for it each day.
This will really aggrevate those who script to collect colonists as you
will never be able to predict values.

^^^
Colonist Regen: Lower Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to cont.)
This is the LOW limit for determining what value you want colonists to
regenerate at. You don't want this value TOO low to discourage play,
we recommend a low limit of 2000 for a regular play game and a
Tournament mode limit of 1000. It is suggested you increase this value
as the game progesses and at the rate of 2000 per week.

^^^
Colonist Regen: Upper Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to cont.)
This is the UPPER limit for setting colonist regeneration. As with the
LOW setting, you want to be careful you don't make it too generous, as
this will cause unfair advantages to those who can log on more often
then those who do things like work for a living! We recommend an UPPER
limit configuration by adding your LOW limit plus 2000.

^^^
PermaWarps (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This is an option you need to use with extreme caution, as this quite
literally will remap your universe at a selectable rate from 1 - 100
sectors daily at cleanup. The remapping will not use dead-end tunnels,
and will never leave sectors 'orphaned' incorrectly. Every remap will
have each sector with proper entries and exits. But this is dangerous,
as a specific Corp or Player tunnel can be quite literally remapped out
from under then. Of course, this adds to the excitement of never knowing
what to expect tomorrow and will add hours to the game for remapping!

^^^
PermaWarps: Number of rewarps (space bar to change or down arrow to cont.)
This is the number of sectors you will cause to remap on a daily basis
at cleanup. We have to warn you to use this option with EXTREME caution,
as it will change the total complexion of the game. We recommend a
setting of 10 and a Tournament mode setting of 30. NOTE: This is a very
 critical setting, READ THE DOCS!!!!

^^^
Turn Randomizer (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option will cause the number of turns each day to change randomly.
You will pick a low and a high value in the next two windows. The
benefits of this is players never will know how many turns they will get
and you have the option of being lenient and setting a small range, or
being more adventuresome and setting it with a larger range to randomize.

^^^
Turns: Lower Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option sets the LOW number of turns available per day. This option
will change randomly at cleanup. We recommend a LOW limit of 1000 and a
Tournament play low limit of 1000.

^^^
Turns: Higher Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option sets the HIGH number of turns available per day. This
option will change randomly at cleanup. We recommend a HIGH limit of
1300 and a Tournament Play HIGH limit of 1300.

^^^
Port Regen Randomizer (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option will set the rate of production. It is accomplished by
setting the number of days to restock a port. The benefit of this option
is to take away the ability to compute far in advance when the ports will
hit 100%. The lower the number, the faster the ports production level
will be. The primary benefit of this option is to take away
 predictability.

^^^
Port Regen: Lower Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)

This will set the LOW limit for the production rate in number of days. We
recommend a LOW production rate of 4 and a production rate for Tournament
 Play also at 4.

^^^
Port Regen: Higher Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This will set the HIGH production rate in number of days. We recommend a
HIGH production rate of 7 and a production rate for Tournament Play also
 at 7.

^^^
Planet Maximum (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option is very effective in changing the total power of the game.
By setting this option low, you will limit the maximum number of planets
permitted in each sector. Remember, if you set the low value at two, for
example, and there are four planets in some sectors, two of those would
be randomly vaporized! We recommend you only set this value once in the
duration of a game, and unless you want a lot of complaining, NEVER set
the LOW # below the starting point. This option is best ideally suited
for Tournament Play. READ THE DOCS ON THIS ONE CAREFULLY!!

^^^
Planets: Lower Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option will set the LOWER limit on planets permitted per sector.
The settings on this must be very carefully used. We recommend a LOW
setting of 5 and a Tournament Play setting of 3.

^^^
Planets: Higher Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option will set the HIGH limit on planets permitted per sector.
This setting must be carefully maintained, and it's not recommended to
set an extremely high value. We recommend a HIGH setting of 7 and a
 Tournament Play setting of 5.

^^^
Photon Duration Randomizer (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This handy option will permit you to toggle the Photons on and off
remotely, and also permit randomizing the duration of the Photons life.
Since people love having photons, you can turn this on and off during
the game to renew interest, then alter the duration settings as well.

^^^
Photon: Lower Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option sets the LOWER limit for the life of the Photon. It will
permit you to control how short the Photons life will last. We
recommend a LOW setting of 0 and a Tournament Play setting of 0. Note: By
setting a LOW value of 0, this the photon is active, but not usable! Read
the docs on the benefits of this one!

^^^
Photon: Upper Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option sets the UPPER limit for the life of a Photon. It will
permit you to control how long the Photons life will last. We recommend
an UPPER setting of 25 and a Tournament Play setting of 25.

^^^
NavHaz Decay Randomizer (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option sets the decay rate of debris from 1 - 100%. During the
game, this normally will stay at a constant rate of decay. This
option will lower or raise NavHaz decay rates to prevent players from
knowing the decay rate in advance and be able to know how much debris
to expect in the course of the game. This prevents a tactical advantage
in being able to compute this rate in advance.

^^^
NavHaz: Lower Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option sets the LOWER limit on the decay rate of NavHaz. We
recommend a LOWER limit of 5 and a Tournament Play limit of 5.

^^^
NavHaz: Upper Limit (space bar to change or down arrow to continue)
This option sets the UPPER limit on the decay rate of NavHaz. We
recomment a Upper limit of 60 and a Tournament Play limit of 60.

That's it !!! Just hit ESC to save the CFG file!!
