I recorded, upon parchment, my conversation with the 'infamous' elf of
Kyrandia.

After offering him a few bottles of wine, he devulged much information. The
elf is a partying sort, but doesn't stick around much longer than a few
minutes. Something about, "his wife got his land in the divorce settlement",
and he can't stay around Kyrandia without Zar, his ex's new husband frying him
up like a hotdog.

PM "How do I make scrolls", I asked.

Elf "Scrolls are made within the forest. Use a bunch of pine
cones and drop them into the Fountain of Eternal Magic. But first,
you must offer true love to Tashanna. A scroll will be deposited
somewhere in the dark forest, but only Tashanna knows where."

"Oh, and beware of some of the scrolls. They can even kill you!"

PM "Which spells require components, I can't seem to get all my spells
             to work"

-I offered him another carafe of wine-

Elf "Spells that require spell components... You mean the ones like
            Chillou, and Hocus?"

PM "Yes, there are others. The just don't seem to work no matter
            what I do.

Elf "Which ones?"

PM "Bookworm, Hehhehh, Ibebad are the ones I can't get to work"

Elf HIC, "Welp, I know those need components, items in your
possession. That damn wizard always did try to make it hard,
            didn't he?"

PM "How about this blasted level 8?.. Can you give me some clues?.."

Elf "You must cross the chasm, then
go to the Pantheon of Tashanna".

"There you must -sing- a limeric in order to gain a -key- to the
next level. This limeric involves the many legends passing in
Kyrandia. It's there throughout the land".

-I offered him another glass of wine-

"Oh, and the pool.. the pool.. yes.. throw your dagger into it...
it is well worth your whil -hick k- e while. Your imagination is
            very import-port-tant.."

           -My imagination ran wild-

-Just then, we caught a glimpse of that ominous creature, Zar,
flying low on the horizon... He's a hungry bastard! This sobered
up ole' elf breathe real quick!-

PM I pleaded, "What of the Crevice?" (he replied in a limeric)

Elf "Kyra and Alexis.. forever in love."

                          "Chant and watch the Glow..
                           When it's at it's maximum,
                           you will know........"

                          "Drop the key
                           and you will see
                           your path is short, indeed"

                          "The rest, I spout,
is for you to find out...."

"T+A, and beware of that orb,
                            to touch it would ..."

-A blast from Zar, was all that he needed, and he was as gone as
           fast as he came-

           <hehhehh - the elf>

This was recorded, with little ado, by Pastor Mike, Warlock of Kyrandia,
(level 8).
