| 4). Now lets set up the menu tree. Start the BBS again, and go to | |
| Level 2 CNF, the "Design Menu Tree" option. | |
| | |

| | |
| The exact placement of the "TRAVEL" menu page on your menu tree is up | |
| to you. Prefereably, it will be in a place where non-paying users | |
| have access to it, as well as paying users, and it should must retain | |
| the NAME "TRAVEL" for the "GO" page. You can name it differently on | |
| the menu page it appears on. For instance, if you make it available | |
| from your TOP or MAIN menu, you could use "Discount Travel", or | |
| "Savvy World Travlers" and whatever selection character you like.. | |
| however that Menu Selection should still call the TRAVEL menu page. | |
| | |
| | |
| First, pick the menu page you want to add the TRAVEL page to. It | |
| is possible to use an auto-select menu, prior to the TRAVEL page, | |
| and the appropriate pseudo-keys, and have Savvy run as a stand | |
| alone system on certain channel groups. This is what you want to | |
| have when you are finished. | |
| | |
| | |
| IMPORTANT: always answer YES to "DISPLAY FILE HEADER" or | |
| your text pages are going to attempt to scroll thorough | |
| a 1" RIP text window. This does not look good. | |
| | |

| The menu selection characters for characters for SAVA - SAVC should be | |
| 1 - 3, and the menu selection characters for SAV1 - SAV0 should be 1-0.| |
| | |
| The TRAVEL.RIP rip menu selection About Savvy sends the string "/go | |
| sava" the, How to Order selection sends "/go savb", and the Come On | |
| In ! selection sends the string "/go savc" | |
| | |
| | |
| In the case of the menu pages, you may want to select "Edit the way | |
| this Menu looks" and go through the menu pages (TRAVEL.*, and SAVC.*) | |
| one at a time, and make sure they are loading properly. | |
| | |
| Now we will be putting the bbs back up, and online. The next item is | |
| to create a "DOS ONLY" Library, called "SAVVY" with the ALTERNATE PATH | |
| of C:\SAVVY Then, when you upload the files to the SAVVY library, the | |
| files called by the menu pages, will be automatically updated, as the | |
| names do not change. | |
| | |
| If you have changed any of the directory names, you will need to check | |
| and make sure that the paths are the same with those specified in the | |
| file pages. You can check the .ASC, .ANS, and .IBM menu pages, and | |
| file pages from the main console, by changing your ACCOUNT settings | |
| to: | |
| | |
| IBM-PC ANSI-ON .....for .IBM | |
| MACINTOSH ANSI-ON ......for .ANS | |
| MACINTOSH ANSI-OFF......for .ASC | |
| | |
| You should also log on the bbs from another system with RIPterm, to | |
| download the custom icons, and view the .RIP menus. As soon as the | |
| custom icon download is finished, log off and re-logon, to make sure | |
| the auto-sensing of your new icons is working. If you are asked to | |
| download the .ICN files again, you most likely have a path problem, | |
| or the Level 4 CNF option ZTZONE is not set to "0". | |
| | |
| The last step here after all paths have been checked and the menus are | |
| working properly is to create an account for Savvy World Travelers. | |
| The name of the account should be "Savvy" and you can add the address | |
| info at the end of this file to it, as a ready reference. The | |
| password should eventually be your Authorization Number, (which you | |
| will not have initially) but anything will do until you get one. The | |
| Savvy account needs no special access, other than to email the Sysop, | |
| the SAVVY file library, and to the TRAVEL pages. You can use a key | |
| called "SAVVY" and give it to the SAVVY account, in order to make the | |
| library "non-visible" and still have the Savvy account get access to | |
| it. | |
