It's no wonder the any mild-mannered student needs to defend himself with the most deadly weapon available - food! The game is simple, defend yourself from Pranks, Teasing, and Food while keeping yourself as clean as possible. The teachers assume that the messier a student is, the more involved in the food fight he is and it's off to the principal's office when they catch you. To encourage students not to throw food, they award the cleanest as the "Student of the Month". Food Fight Command Summary -------------------------- Optionally each command can be prefixed by a special character (i.e. ".") so that they can be distinquished from regular teleconference commands. INV - Inventory: how you doin, what you got. AIM - Keep in mind that there is an OPTIMAL aiming time. GRAB - snatch it right off the lunchroom table. DROP - Drop what's in your hand on the floor ESC - Get out from the lunchroom while the gettin's good. VIEW FOOD - Stuff laying around on the table and floors. VIEW STUDENTS - who's eating lunch with you. THROW - Throw items at other foodfighters EAT - try to get in 3 squares a day. Makes food unavailable. COOTY - give someone cooties (see pranks) TIE - tie someone's shoes together (see pranks) TEASE - make fun of someone (see pranks) CROUCH - duck & cover (see movement) STAND - stand still (see movement) RUN - start running (see movement) FOOD ON - Allows you to see food fight game messages FOOD OFF - Out of the game, you'll no longer see anything HELP FOODFIGHT - General Food Fight help. Note that some actions have a delay time, while others don't. The Menu -------- Each type of food has 5 characteristics: Grab time, Eat time, Nutritional value, throw effort and damage (messiness). Grab time measures how long it will take you to retrieve that item. Should you decide to eat it (yeech), eat time tells show long it will take for you to chew. Nutritional value is just that, and will help you recover quicker. Damage is broken into 3 types of hits: spray, good, and bullseye. MOVEMENT -------- FoodFight introduces the concept of movement in this game. CROUCH- If you are crouching, you are less likely to be hit by thrown food. On the other hand, you can't throw as well and are limited in your actions. Also, you are an easier targets for some pranks. If someone makes you cry, you automatically go into a crouch. STAND - If you are standing, you're an easy target for thrown food, but you can throw better. RUN - When you run, its harder to hit you with food or to play pranks on you. You won't be able to throw as well and eventually you'll get tired out. PRANKS ------ In addition to throwing food, you can also play pranks on your fellow students. You may be able to reduce someone's social status while building up your own. If your social status reaches zero, you will have a crying spell. COOTY - Only one person can have cooties at a time. That person can give cooties to any member of the opposite sex (except the person who gave them cooties in the first place). Any girl can launch the first cooty attack of the game at no penalty. While you are running you are immune from cooty attacks. You may have to chase someone for awhile before you can give them cooties. TIE - Secretly tie someone's shoes together. If you are successful, they will fall on their face next time they try to run and no one will know who did it (except you). It takes a while to tie someone's shoelaces together and if they try to run before you are finished - they'll find you out. TEASE - If you make fun of someone, eventually they will start to lose social status. This can take some time, but if several people gang up, it happens much faster. If someone is teasing you and you wallop them with food, you gain social status and they lose - so there! SCORING ------- Students advance through school -- eventually becoming Food Fight graduate. At the end of each game, you may PASS, FAIL, SKIP a grade or be set BACK. If you want to pass, keep in mind that: - Cleanliness is next to godliness in the teachers' eyes. Try not to get hit with any watermelons. - A healthy appetite is important for growing kids - but don't be a pig. Common sense should tell you what foods to stay away from. - Remember that popularity with your peers is more important than ANYTHING ELSE IN THE UNIVERSE. If you want to be student of the month you must do one thing - WREAK HAVOC. Tie those shoelaces, throw those sloppy joes, give those adults grey hair So what if you never make it past the first grade - you're having the time of your life! Teachers sometimes make comments about a student's performance, so you you may want to read your report card before you give it to your mom.
