THE ELIMINATORS CLASSIC MISSIONS Copyright 1989 to 1998 Zeitgeist Actionsoft WELCOME TO THE ELIMINATORS CLASSIC MISSIONS! -------------------------------- This folder contains three Eliminators games that were developed for the Commodore 64 computer by the members of Zeitgeist Actionsoft between 1990 and 1993. They were made with the "Shoot'em Up Construction Kit" (SEUCK for short) for the C64, which was a really easy to use program that gave anyone without any programming experience a chance to make their own cool shoot'em up games! The Eliminators was an amatuer comic book series that was designed by Zeitgiest founder Roger Messner and distributed to classmates from the fall of 1989 to the summer of 1990. The first game based on the comic book was titled: "The Eliminators - Asian Rumble", and was produced with another game making program called the "Arcade Game Construction Kit" (AGCK for short). Unfortunately though, that game is now lost forever. After "Asian Rumble", at least five more Eliminators games were started on, but only two were completed. "The Eliminators - Moonlight Mountain", which was made in the spring of 1990, and "The Eliminators 2 - The Rescue" were those two games. They are in this collection, as well as a third game titled: "The Eliminators 3 - Crimewave". "Crimewave" began production in the winter of 1993, and was going to consist of multiple episodes, spanning 2 disks, but only one episode was finished. This episode is a complete game though, and deserves to be put onto this collection because it is a significant link in the evolution of the Eliminators game series, and it has the best graphics out of all of them. Zeitgeist started to make one more game back in 1994, called "The Eliminators - The First Mission" but never got around to finishing because they got involved in making PC games instead, but what remains of the game is a really cool cinema introduction that was made from a whole SEUCK module. This was also added to the collection because it was an interesting use for SEUCK, and it also could be used as a trailer ... because Zeitgeist is going to finish it! Also, for 1999, to celebrate their 10th anniversary, Zeitgeist plans to re-release all of the classic Eliminators games in a mega-pak collection for the PC with enhanced graphics, sound, and gameplay! The remade games will also have music added to enhance the experience. All of the games you see here will be included, as well as the lost games, and 2 games that never even made it to the computer screen! And finally, to top that off, The Eliminators will be making their public debut with the first OFFICIAL Eliminators action adventure game in the same year!!! So brace yourself, and get ready rumble in 99' with The Eliminators! STORYLINES ------------------------------------------------------------------ THE ELIMINATORS: VOLUME 1 - "MOONLIGHT MOUNTAIN" It's 12:OO midnight, and the full moon is shining brightly tonight over the small, quite town of Bellwood. However, on top of a nearby mountain, on the outskirts of town, things aren't so peaceful. The whole neighborhood has awoken to an intense light coming from the mountain. Nobody has any idea of what's going on, and nobody wants to find out. The citizens of Bellwood just don't know what to think of these strange happenings; good or bad? Suddenly though, without having to think that long, things start happening. A squadron of army combat helicopters storm over the town at full-speed and race toward the strange light on the mountain. Tanks, and troop carriers follow to back up the choppers. Now, it seems as though everyone is starting to get the idea that things might not be so good. It doesn't take them long however to find out the truth: only a 1/2 mile away from the light, the helicopters start falling out of the sky, exploding violently at the base of the mountain. The land vehicles approach the crashed helicopters, but explode whenever they get within a few feet of wreckage. Yes, this definitely looks bad - the military just got whipped by something in those mountains! Whatever is up there poses a possible threat to the small town of Bellwood, as well as the rest of the world, and it doesn't seem like anybody has what it takes to see what's going on up there, or to stop this mysterious danger from destroying innocent lives. Well, it may seem that way, but fortunately, The Eliminators are back in town, and they are once again ready to rid the good citizens of their hometown of yet another disturbance! Can they do it? Can the make it to the mountain, and solve the mystery of the dangerous lights? Of course they can, but not without your help! THE ELIMINATORS: VOLUME 2 - "THE RESCUE" How could this possibly be? Narc Master is back in town, and this time he's out for revenge - on The Eliminators that is! Narc master has kidnapped Specter's girlfriend, Candee, and has taken her to his hideout on a big cliff outside of town. With Candee in his possesion, he now holds a big advantage over The Eliminators. He knows that they will be after her, so his plan is the lead them to the hideout, and exterminate them once and for all! But that's not everything ... Narc Master knows that Candee is the only one who knows who The Eliminators are, and plans to get the info out of her so that he can terrorize their families! Man oh man does this guy mean business! Of course, nothing's going to be easy for neither Narc Master or The Eliminators. Candee is not very easy to get info from, and will do anything to protect her friend's identity, and Narc Master isn't going to make it easy for his enemies to get to his hideout, so it looks like both parties could have a problem here! So who really has the advantage? Hopefully, The Eliminators do, and they will if you decide to help them out! So what are you waiting for, go and rescue Candee before it's too late! Good Luck! THE ELIMINATORS 3: "CRIMEWAVE" In the city of Philadelphia, crime runs rampant, as it does in other big cities. That's usually pretty normal, but lately strange things have been going down on the streets. Strange soldiers are starting to march around everywhere, gangs seem to be joining forces and terrorizing the inner-city, as well as the suburbs, armoured street cars are speeding around the avenues and boulivards with gun-toting passengers, and angry citizens, are rioting and looting shops of all kinds. Just what in the hell is going on here?!
